Performance Baseline Offering
August 18, 2009, Alexandria, VA—Robbins-Gioia, LLC, the leading provider of program management services, and The Standish Group International, Inc., renowned IT research firm and architect of the CHAOS report, announced today their collaboration on an offering that will help organizations quickly benchmark and determine their management capabilities as they relate to industry best practices—and provide a solid, actionable plan for next steps. The Performance Baseline offering combines Standish’s diagnostic evaluation and Robbins-Gioia’s structured management approach with the goal of improving organizational performance. At the end of the six–eight week engagement, clients will have a solid understanding of the performance drivers that underlie their projects and a roadmap of concrete ways to increase and sustain performance and optimize their technology investments.
In the first phase clients complete a detailed Standish project profile examining the history of their projects. Profile results are then measured and benchmarked against Standish’s unique database of more than 70,000 projects. The next phase is a series of client interviews that set the stage for the third phase comprised of workgroups. The workgroup consists of 100 questions based on the CHAOS research of the client’s programs and associated capabilities. These findings are analyzed against industry and project discipline best practices and presented in a final report with specific recommendations and a roadmap for next steps.
