David Colby Vice President, Information Technology
David Colby is vice president of IT for Robbins-Gioia. He is responsible for enterprise-wide IT strategy, functions, processes, and people, including IT architecture, systems, networks, investments, information protection and assurance, and supplier relationships. David leverages these assets to support Robbins-Gioia's business goals and drivers and provides expert counsel to senior management.
Before joining Robbins-Gioia in 2002, David held various positions of increasing responsibility at a number of companies in industries ranging from architecture, public relations, construction, and non-profit agencies. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the areas of network and systems engineering, management solutions, finance, and vendor relationship management. In 2009, David reduced software costs by 42 percent annually through technology/pricing analysis and vendor negotiation, leveraging a prior infrastructure consolidation and virtualization effort.
David earned a B. A. from Syracuse University and is a graduate of the Society for Information Management's (SIM) Regional Leadership Forum.
